A great place for teachers to make puzzles in a variety of types. Use your vocabulary or spelling lists to create wonderful worksheets. A unique place to get quotations for themes or units, days of the year, holidays, and much, much more.
This site is a collection in the area of arts and humanities that is wonderfully searchable. A great collection of things for the classroom and other things like, bookmarks, posters, notepads, etc. Don’t forget to look at the Teacher’s Lounge and their Study Guides. I really love their bookmarks in packages of 32. ABC Educational Supplies Online A great place to find unusual classroom ingredients at a discount. Check out their free lesson plans collection. Most of the books and videos mentioned any of our teacher’s guides could be found here. Amazing Environmental Organizational Web Directory A search engine for environmental issues. A search engine for clip art and photographs. This search engine looks in most other search engines at one time. Great for finding those hard to find animal pictures. This is the site of a small publisher with some wonderful material on the web. They have reproducible games, activities, and more available for downloading. They are free for educational use. If you are looking for some excellent books to add to your curriculum look here. I have never missed with one of their books. This is a unique site with interactive adventures and much more. Check out the teacher/parent section for lots of great information and online adventures. The Ruth H. Hooker Research Library – Science Sites for Kids This site has great links to many incredible science sites for kids. This is an excellent site to use as an introduction to biomes. This site is online field trips to various biomes and other science curriculum areas, with teacher resources. The New York Times Field Trips This Learning Network contains online field trips in the curriculum areas of American History, Civics, Fine Arts, Geography, Global History, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Special Tours. A good place to start for questions about biomes and information on animals. Oakland Zoo Animals – Animals A to Z An excellent site, with a collection of animal facts and information. This site is a virtual tour of all the ecosystems of the world. This is a wonderful site about the endangered animals of the world. You will need to know what animals you would like information about. English, Literature, and Communications Connections
This is an incredible site by the Plymouth State College, with links to information sources in a variety of subject areas. Acorn Naturalists – Animal Sound Games This is a unique online game that allows students to guess the animal by the sound it makes. This is one of the best online sites for classroom materials for teacher nature. They even have fish replicas for making fish prints. This is a good site for kids who are interesting in taking part in helping to save the Earth. Also check out their collection of pictures. This site has information about frogs.
